I’m an artist from the historic heart of Istanbul, carrying forward the creative legacy of my grandfather, a passionate artist and writer known as an “Istanbul efendisi”a true gentleman of the city. Istanbul was and still is a place of profound contrasts, where ancient traditions meet the stirrings of modernity. Narrow cobblestone streets buzz with life, cafés fill with poets and thinkers, and the air is thick with stories, music, and timeless mystery. My grandfather embodied this vibrant spirit, navigating the city’s cultural tapestry with grace and wisdom. He was a keeper of the city’s secrets, a guardian of its hidden stories and timeless charm, and he inspired me to see art not just as creation, but as a deep conversation with history, emotion, and identity.

I work on canvas with my emotions, memories, and personal journey poured into every brushstroke. For me, painting is more than an act, it is a dialogue between past and present, trauma and healing, mystery and revelation. My work is infused with the rich textures of my Middle Eastern heritage, inviting viewers to feel and reflect on the unseen layers of experience that connect us all.
